Fully Booked Inn Blog: Great Inn Getaways Contest
I recently received a DVD copy of travel pro Samantha Brown’s Passport to Great Weekends. Her series inspired me to run a contest just for innkeepers. After all, they’re perfect places to stay for those great weekends. Since my passion is showing innkeepers how to increase their bookings, I’m going to put a marketing spin on this contest.
Using the locations visited by Samantha, the Fully Booked Inn Blog will do a virtual road trip. We’ll search out B&B’s and Inns in the surrounding area and do an analysis on the inns’ ‘Visibility Score’. This visibility score addresses number 1 of the four basic ways to increase occupancy: Attract new guests.
Just like a secret shopper for a department store, we’ll look for lodging using the techniques that a typical new guest would use; one who doesn’t know anything about the local inns. Today’s prospective guest will start with online research and move on to social shopping so that’s what we’ll do as well.
One lucky inn in each location will receive a free Grass Roots Marketing (GRMS) Visibility Assessment valued at $197 $USD and a free copy of my book Maximum Occupancy: How smart innkeepers put heads in beds in every season.
The GRMS Visibility Score will tell you how easily potential guests can find your inn and how well you’re doing to attract the guest that is a perfect fit. We’ll analyze your score and create a personalized action plan that you can implement to raise your visibility, guaranteed!
Round 1 of our virtual tour will run from July 15, 2013 to October 12, 2013. Our stops will be:
How you can participate:
- If your inn is in one of the cities on the tour and you’d like to be considered for the free visibility assessment, just post your website address in the comments section of the contest announcement with a one line statement about why you would make the perfect winner.
- If you’d like for your town to be considered for a future virtual tour, let us know that in the comments also. Be sure to include your location and website address.
Everyone can be a winner:
Even if you don’t win an assessment, you can be a winner. At the end of the tour, I’ll compile a ‘best of the best’ ideas that I’ve shared with the winners and send it to all of my subscribers. Make sure you subscribe to receive email updates so that you don’t miss out.
