As the chief marketer for your Bed and Breakfast business, you have to consistently keep your services in the forefront of guests’ minds so that when they’re ready to book, they pick you. I experienced a fabulous example of being where your potential customers are this weekend. I was in my front yard clipping hedges and doing some general clean-up when a guy and his son pulled up in a pick-up truck.
He approached me with business card in hand and proceeded to give me a run-down of the yard services he could provide. Now I had seen him a couple of weeks before at one of my neighbor’s home but at the time was distracted and didn’t bother to get his card. This time, with my muscles already aching from bending and clipping, not only was I ready to hear his message but I hired him on the spot!
This guy knows who his target market is and he understands the value of being visible at a time when his customers are most likely to need his services. Kudos to him!
